US Grand Prix Finale North America Cup - Sporting - United States (July 2015)

About competition

The 2015 U.S. FITASC Sporting Grand Prix was a premier international clay target shooting tournament held from July 17th to July 19th, 2015. Serving as the grand opening stage to the world-level shooting week in Minnesota, this high-stakes 225-target championship was hosted at the expansive outdoor layouts of the Caribou Gun Club in Le Sueur, Minnesota, USA.

Event Highlights & Visual Analysis

Based on the official primary banner design, the tournament integrated elite athletic prestige with top-tier industrial sponsorship:

  • Background Visual Design: Staged on a dark, texturized metallic backdrop accented with hot, red-orange embers along the upper-left boundary. A large gray vector emblem mapping a terrestrial globe with a prominent crosshair star anchors the left side, representing the global reach of the tournament series.

  • Corporate Title Alliances: The lower footer establishes this Grand Prix as an essential point-scoring leg for the season's premier international matrices:

    • Fiocchi FITASC World Rankings: Highlighted by the prominent red-and-white Fiocchi corporate logo next to a silver three-person winners' podium.

    • Beretta FITASC Cups: Anchored by the iconic three-arrow trident crest of Beretta alongside a detailed gold-and-silver trophy cup illustration.

Caribou Gun Club & Hunting Preserve is a premier 750-acre shooting and hunting destination nestled in the Minnesota River Valley near Le Sueur. Established in 1953 by Earl Voss and currently owned by 1978 World Champion trap shooter Randy Voss, this elite facility caters to everyone from beginners to Olympic-level athletes. Its defining feature is the masterful integration of natural prairie terrain to create visually challenging target trajectories, designed personally by a world champion to test the limits of modern marksmen.

Renowned as one of North America's top competitive arenas, the club has hosted over 96 major sporting clays and FITASC events since 1995. It has proudly served as the venue for prestigious international and national tournaments, including the 2012 U.S. Open Sporting Clays Championship, the 2015 World FITASC, and the upcoming 2027 Minnesota State Sporting Clays Championship. The facility's immense scale and logistical capability allow it to run up to 12 distinct sporting clays courses simultaneously, seamlessly accommodating thousands of shooters without bottlenecks during massive events.

The club boasts an unparalleled range of shooting disciplines and automated infrastructure to satisfy any marksman:

  • Sporting Clays & Trap: Up to 12 sporting clays courses (including year-round league and tournament-grade setups), 6 trap ranges (two configured for doubles), and a dedicated skeet field.

  • Advanced Target Systems: Fully automated Promatic Traps across the property, including mobile 6-machine Grouse XP systems for simulated mass bird flushes.

  • Rifle & Pistol Ranges: A 10-station covered rifle range spanning 25 to 500 yards, and a modern 32-lane pistol range featuring 23 automated reactive steel targets.

  • Hunting & Archery: 28 distinct hunting fields across 750 acres for pheasant and chukar, 3D archery courses, and traditional driven tower shoots.

Training at Caribou Gun Club accommodates both individuals and corporate teams, ranging from novice concealed carry permit classes to elite athletic clinics. Certified instructors utilize the paper target lanes and local classrooms for comprehensive handgun fundamentals and multi-state permit-to-carry courses. For competitive athletes and collegiate teams, legendary coaches like Dan Carlisle offer multi-day intensive clinics focusing on advanced biomechanics, visual focus, and psychological resilience for sporting clays, trap, and skeet.

The facility is highly versatile, making it the perfect destination for diverse groups and events:
