Le Mousquet Lamentinois is a historic and multi-disciplinary shooting and archery complex located in the lush Habitation Carrère area of Le Lamentin, Martinique. Founded in 1963, it serves as a premier training ground in the Caribbean basin for a diverse range of visitors, from beginners and families looking for active recreation to elite athletes and international competitors.
The standout feature of the complex is its integration into the dense tropical landscape, which creates challenging optical illusions and alters the perception of target speed and distance. Coupled with the coastal trade winds and high humidity, the environment forces shooters to adapt their techniques profoundly. Furthermore, the club holds a prestigious institutional status as a certified Federal School (EFBT), led by the regional league president and certified instructor Eric Venite.
The facility offers a comprehensive sporting infrastructure:
Clay Shooting: 18 specialized layouts, including 2 for Universal Trap (Fosse Universelle), 8 for Sporting (Parcours de Chasse), and 8 for Compak Sporting.
Archery: Indoor 18m ranges, outdoor target archery up to 50m, and field/3D archery integrated into the natural landscape.
Technology & Amenities: High-tech automated multipull target launching systems, extensive parking, relaxation zones, and convenient proximity to Ferme Perrine for large-scale event logistics.
As an EFBT-certified school, the club provides structured training programs suitable for absolute beginners up to elite professionals. The venue regularly hosts major Caribbean sporting events, including the international Grand Prix FITASC de Martinique and the Trophée de la Ville du Lamentin. Beyond professional tournaments, the site features a strong eco-friendly doctrine, limiting its hunting section to 50 members and maintaining artificial wetlands where shooting resting birds is strictly prohibited.
