The National Shooting Range of Chania is a premier, world-class shooting facility located on 110 acres of the picturesque Akrotiri peninsula in Crete. Catering to a diverse audience - ranging from absolute beginners and tourists to Olympic athletes and national teams - the complex offers an exceptional environment for shooting sports. A standout feature of the infrastructure managed by EAK Chania is the integration of modern lighting systems, allowing for extended training capabilities and evening operations.

The venue boasts comprehensive infrastructure, featuring three open ranges for Skeet, Trap, and Compak Sporting, alongside three indoor ranges designed for air rifles, 25-meter, and 50-meter disciplines. The competition layouts are equipped with high-precision French Laporte trap machines and utilize the Multipull software system for automated tournament management and live scoring. Athletes and guests can also enjoy premium on-site amenities, including grandstands with a 500-seat capacity, a fully equipped gym, a sauna, and a clubhouse restaurant.

As an official ISSF and FITASC venue, the range hosts major international and national tournaments. Its flagship event is the ISSF Grand Prix "Battle of Crete - Stelios Karampinakis", dedicated to the memory of the late local champion, which attracts elite shooters from across Europe, including Olympic medalists and World Champions. Additionally, it regularly hosts the Compak Sporting Grand Prix of Greece, Panhellenic Championships, and offers excellent facilities for corporate team-building events and banquets.

Training at the facility is highly professional, heavily influenced by the presence of Georgios Salavantakis, the Greek National Team coach. While professional shooters utilize the range for rigorous pre-Olympic preparation camps , tourists and beginners can experience safe, guided shooting through all-inclusive packages ranging from €80 to €300. These packages provide everything from basic pistol and shotgun introductions to VIP multi-firearm experiences with elite 1-on-1 coaching.
