Shooting Range Gaj

Pragersko, Slovenia

Shooting Range Gaj is a world-class sport-shooting facility located in the Drava valley in Pragersko, Slovenia, covering 22 hectares. It serves as a universal training base and competition venue for professional athletes, tactical shooters, and beginners. The facility's standout feature is its eco-friendly infrastructure, which includes specialized nets that collect over 80% of the lead pellets used. The flat landscape provides an ideal optical background and stable flight trajectories for clay pigeons without turbulent wind shifts.

The center boasts top-tier automated infrastructure tailored for both shotgun and precision shooting. Key facilities include:

  • 7 combined clay pigeon ranges (Trap, Double Trap, Skeet, Universal Trench) and 4 Compak/Parkour setups.

  • Automated acoustic release systems featuring Promatic, Laporte, and Mattarelli throwing machines.

  • Indoor ranges for rifle and pistol disciplines (10m to 100m) equipped with SIUS ASCOR 525/50 electronic scoring systems.

  • Extensive amenities, including a 600-seat restaurant, a 1200 sqm multi-purpose hall, a sports shop, and parking for 220 cars and 22 buses.

The range offers comprehensive training programs ranging from basic individual instruction for beginners to specialized group shooting camps. Training is overseen by an expert team, including owner and multi-champion Igor Rakuša, ensuring the highest level of professional guidance. Due to its capacity and technical excellence, the venue frequently hosts major international competitions, corporate team-building events, and banquets.

Shooting Range Gaj is perfectly suited for a diverse audience:

  • Beginners: All-inclusive packages (firearm rental, ammunition, instructor) starting at 75 EUR lower the entry barrier.

  • Professional Athletes: Olympic-standard automated equipment makes it ideal for serious training and world-cup preparation.

  • Corporate Teams: The large restaurant and multi-purpose halls are excellent for hosting team-building events and symposiums.

  • Families & Tourists: Its proximity to the Pohorje hills and Maribor makes it a great recreational stop.

The complex stands out due to several specific advantages:
