About competition

The Grand Prix of Spain tournament in the Compak Sporting discipline will take place from March 16, 2019 to March 17, 2019. The competition features a total of 200 targets and will be hosted by the Club de Cazadores "La Diana" in Pobla de Vallbona, Valencia, Spain. Official training sessions will be available for participants on the days leading up to the main event.

Competition Details / Event Schedule

  • Wednesday, March 13: Trainings from 9am - 7pm

  • Thursday, March 14: Trainings from 9am - 7pm

  • Friday, March 15: Trainings from 9am - 7pm

  • Saturday, March 16: 1st day of competition (125 targets) from 9am - 6pm

  • Sunday, March 17: 2nd day of competition (75 targets) from 9am - 1pm

  • Sunday, March 17: Award and closing ceremony at 3pm

Shooting Ground

The municipal shooting range, operated in cooperation with the local sport-hunting association "Club de Cazadores La Diana", is located in La Pobla de Vallbona, Valencia. It stands out as a highly recognized sporting entity in the region, receiving the municipal award for "Best Sporting Organization". Led by its progressive president Carmen Campillo, the club emphasizes modern social values, active community integration, and the inclusion of women and youth in shooting sports.

Following a modern renovation supported by municipal and club funding of approximately €90,000, the complex is equipped to host both training and elite national or international tournaments. The facility stands out from other local ranges due to its extensive range of active disciplines :

  • Four Compak Sporting layouts with flexible configurations

  • One Universal Trap (Foso Universal) layout

  • One American Trap (Foso Americano) layout

  • Dedicated area for hand-thrown or mechanical live-pigeon simulation (Blancos a brazo)

Costs and Membership Structure

The club provides affordable training prices while offering national-level hunting registration opportunities for its members. Key prices and fees include:

  • Clay pigeon shooting: €6 per series of 25 targets with a reloadable card

  • Full annual membership: €70 per year for participation in all national hunting draws

  • Stalking (recechos) only membership: €65 per year

  • Driven hunts (monterías/batidas) only membership: €40 per year

  • Tournament entry fees: €40 to €45 for adults, and €35 to €40 for juniors
