The Grand Quartier Trophy promises a day dedicated to clay shooting, conviviality, and passion, with courses specially prepared for the occasion, numerous challenges, and an exceptional prize pool.

Shooting Ground

The Coupe du Grand-Quartier Tir de Chasse is an exclusive shooting festival taking place at a private forestry estate in Toury-Lurcy, within the Nièvre department of France. Organized by a committee led by Arthur de Soultrait, the event goes far beyond a standard sporting tournament, offering a high-end social experience that blends professional clay pigeon shooting with the aristocratic traditions of a country gathering.

The core of the competition focuses on "Parcours de chasse" (sporting clays), a discipline designed to simulate the unpredictable flights of wild game. Participants can compete in either a 50-target or 100-target main event. In addition to the standard tournament, shooters of all levels can participate in three unique side challenges:

  • Le Faisan d'or (The Golden Pheasant): A challenge focused on high-altitude target trajectories.

  • Le Lièvre à la Royale (The Royal Hare): A ground-level, fast-rolling target challenge where the winner is awarded a dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant L'Arôme in Paris.

  • Flush: A dynamic, fast-paced Spanish-style driven shoot designed for intense, rapid firing.

The venue's authentic woodland environment and natural topography—situated at an altitude of over 700 meters—provide a complex and highly realistic backdrop for the targets. To maximize the terrain's potential, the flight paths are masterfully designed by shooting experts François Michaud and Olympic veteran Frank Tison. The shooting stands are equipped with premium Laporte machines, ensuring flawless technical reliability for complex, hunting-style trajectories.

The event is meticulously tailored to suit a variety of participants, maintaining a strict "Gentleman Farmer" dress code to preserve its elegant atmosphere:

  • Professional Shooters: Who want to test their reflexes on expert-designed courses and compete for high-value prizes.

  • Hunters and Youth: Who wish to practice their instinctive shooting safely before the hunting season begins.

  • Corporate Teams & Elites: Who are looking for a unique networking environment featuring a country banquet, an evening DJ set, and premium sponsors like Beretta, Veuve Clicquot, and Le Chameau.

Participation is structured around three transparent pricing tiers that include the competition targets, the rural banquet lunch, and the evening dinner party (ammunition and shotguns are not included):

  • Tireur (Shooter): €195 for the 100-target course.

  • Chasseur (Hunter): €155 for the 50-target course.

  • Jeune chasseur (Young Hunter under 30): €95 for the 50-target course.

Ultimately, the Coupe du Grand-Quartier is a premier gathering that merges technical sporting rigor with aristocratic leisure. It successfully preserves European hunting traditions while providing an unforgettable, luxurious networking and sporting experience for all attendees.
