The Lea Valley Shooting Association (LVSA), widely recognized as the Hertford Clay Pigeon Shooting Ground, is a premier shooting facility located in the heart of the Hertfordshire countryside. It offers a professional and welcoming environment tailored for a diverse range of visitors, including complete beginners, families, corporate groups, and elite competition winners.

The ground features an extensive English Sporting layout consisting of 12 stands with 45 targets, designed to provide a variety of presentations that challenge shooters of all skill levels. In total, approximately 70 automatic traps are in operation at any given time, primarily utilizing high-quality Promatic and Laporte equipment.

A standout technological feature of the facility is its "Solo Delay" system, integrated into the state-of-the-art "Pay & Play" setup installed in 2020. This allows individual shooters to practice without a partner by providing a 3-second delay between pressing the release button and the target launch, enabling them to mount their gun and prepare for the shot independently.

The club is renowned as a top-tier shooting school with a team of CPSA-qualified instructors, including the Club Secretary Alex Mitchell. Beginners can start with "Have A Go" sessions to learn basic safety and handling, while more experienced shooters can book formal one-hour individual or joint lessons to refine their techniques and range-finding abilities.

Infrastructure at the site includes a modern, heated clubhouse with seating for over 40 guests, offering full catering services and a variety of refreshments. Additionally, the site hosts the Lea Valley Airgun Club, providing specialized ranges for air rifle and pistol disciplines, making it a comprehensive multi-discipline shooting hub.
