This Privacy Policy describes how Clayarena s. r. o. ("we", "our", or "us") collects, processes, and protects the personal data of users ("you") on the website https://clayarena.com/ and in the associated PWA application.

As a company registered in Slovakia, we process your personal data in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Z. z. on Personal Data Protection.

2. What Data We Collect

To provide our services effectively, we collect and process the following categories of personal data:

  • Identity and Contact Data: First name, last name, international first and last name (for participation in international competitions), date of birth, profile picture (avatar), country and region, email address, phone number.

  • Sports Information: Club affiliation, qualification, sports rank/title (Rank), profile verification status, competition participation history.

  • Authentication and Integration Data: Connected Google account data (for social login), Telegram ID (if connected for notifications), device tokens for Push notifications (PWA).

  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type and version, time zone setting, operating system, and information collected through cookies.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data based on the following legal grounds (Art. 6 GDPR):

  • Performance of a Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): To create and maintain your account, register you for competitions, send service notifications (via Email, Telegram, or Push), and provide the core services of the platform.

  • Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): To maintain accurate statistics and athlete rankings, ensure website security, and display results of public competitions.

  • Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)© GDPR): To comply with legal requirements (e.g., tax and accounting regulations).

  • Your Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): For the use of optional cookies (analytics). You may withdraw your consent at any time.

4. Data Access and Disclosure

Your data is confidential. Access is strictly limited to:

  • ClayArena Administration: Authorized employees of ClayArena have access to user-provided information solely for internal platform purposes and to ensure its operation.

  • Competition Organizers: Have partial access to participant data (usually limited to necessary contact information) solely to manage the events you have registered for.

  • Technical Partners: Hosting service providers have access to the server infrastructure.

  • Analytics Services (Matomo / Google Analytics): These services do not have access to your personal data (names, emails, phone numbers, etc.). Their code is not installed on pages where users enter or manage their personal data.

  • Legal Authorities: Only when required by law.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Privacy Management (Privacy Settings)

We adhere to the "Privacy by Design" principle. In your profile settings, you have full control over what information is public. You can:

  • Hide your profile from the public athletes catalog ("Hide me from the athletes catalog").

  • Set hidden participation in competitions by default during registration ("Hide participation by default during registration").

  • Hide specific competitions from being displayed in your public profile (feature available for Premium users).

6. Your Rights and Data Deletion ("Right to be Forgotten")

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, restrict processing, and request data portability.

Account Deletion:
You can exercise your right to delete your data at any time. To do this, use the "Delete account" button in the "Security" section of your dashboard or send a request to privacy@clayarena.com.

Important Note Regarding Sports Results: ClayArena aggregates results of public competitions from open sources (sports federations, clubs, official protocols). Deleting your account on our site or hiding your profile will only result in the deletion/hiding of your personal profile within our system. Information regarding your competition results that is publicly available on third-party resources or in official competition protocols may remain visible in general archives based on our legitimate interest in maintaining integral sports statistics.

7. Data Retention Period

We retain your personal data as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide services to you and comply with legal obligations.

8. Cookies Policy

We use cookies to ensure the website functions correctly and to improve your experience. You can manage your settings via the "Manage Cookies" modal on the site.

  • Necessary Cookies: Mandatory for the website to function (security, navigation). They cannot be switched off.

  • Google Tag Manager: Used to manage the website's infrastructure. It starts automatically and does not store personal data directly.

  • Analytics Cookies (Matomo / GA): Help us analyze general traffic. They are activated only with your consent. As stated in Section 4, these tools are isolated from pages where personal data is entered.
